Herpes and Anxiety

Hello everyone! I wanted to share some knowledge that has been helping me to reduce my outbreaks – and heal outbreaks when they do happen.
Recent research has been showing that Anxiety plays a big role in herpes (and canker sore) outbreaks. I have been exploring ways to reduce Anxiety and it has been tremendously helpful to me!
I recommend you Google “Controlling Anxiety” and learn all you can about Anxiety and how to alleviate it. Here are a few tips that have helped me to generate health, and promote faster healing when I have an outbreak:
Control Your Breathing – Shallow, tense, inefficient breathing creates and prolongs a state of anxiety. Slow, calm breaths through the stomach will reduce some of the worst anxiety symptoms and generate better health.
Try Some Aerobic Activity – Much of anxiety actually comes from inactivity. Exercise releases endorphins, which drastically reduces your anxiety experience. Any kind of light movement, from walking to calisthenics can help to manage anxiety.
Talk to Someone Friendly – A very effective technique is to talk to someone you like and trust, especially on the phone. Talking to nice people keeps your mind off of your symptoms, and supportive friends and family gives you that added boost of confidence.
Find What Relaxes You – Avoiding stress is often easier said than done. But there are always little stresses you can avoid. Don’t watch frightening movies, or listen to stressful music, or spend time with people that bring stress into your life. There are already things in your life that relax you. Don’t avoid them! This could help to reduce the severity of the symptoms.
Get Some Sleep – Lack of sleep can really ramp up feelings of anxiety. Getting enough sleep can be of great help to you and your body by helping you recharge.
Living in Today – Finally, simply learning to live for today can impact your anxiety. Those with anxiety often start to focus too much on their worries about the future. But today is all we have, after all. And it’s enough to deal with – don’t you think?
Sending love and good wishes to all,
Evolving =o)
